What to expect?
You have questions and I have the answers! Before submitting a session request please review some of the FAQ's below and if you still have questions please feel free to reach out to me.
How long is a session?
Newborn sessions are completely baby led which means time can vary but typically do not exceed 3 hours.
Milestone sessions usually take an hour, with the exception of cake smash sessions where I allow time for set up.
Family sessions usually take up to an hour.
I do not rush sessions, but I do respect your time and your children's.
Where do sessions take place?
Newborns sessions can take place in your home, I'm completely mobile! Indoor studios are an option if you prefer.
Milestone sessions take place in your home, in the studio or outdoors if weather permits.
Family sessions are best in studio or outdoors if weather permits.
What's included with my all-inclusive session?
Pre-planning to discuss styling and details, my time and expertise, a curated private, online gallery with all your edited images.
How far in advance should we book?
I recommend booking several weeks in advance. I reserve a limited number of sessions each month to ensure a high level of care for each family.
What if my child is shy, fussy or misbehaves?
I've been photographing children for over 15 years and that is completely normal. Scheduling sessions around nap times are not recommended. We will discuss best time of day for your child. I allow time for children to warm up naturally which is why I do not offer mini sessions. Patience and flexibility is already built into your session. Let me guide, the goal is natural smiles. Threats or active physical punishment is highly discouraged. You want to look back on your images and remember a fun time, not stress.
How many people can be included?
Sessions are intended for immediate family members. If you're hoping to include additional people, please reach out to me so we can determine the best fit and discuss extended family pricing.
What should we wear?
After booking, we will discuss preparing the wardrobe for your child or family. Neutral tones, soft textures and minimal patterns photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection. Little Joe wants to wear his Bluey shoes? That's ok with me if it's ok with you, this is about capturing the season and sometimes we just have to choose our battles.
Can I have the RAW files?
Simple answer, no. I do not give RAW files to my clients.
Is this the right fit for our family?
My work is best suited for families who value a calm, intentional, unhurried experience and trust my guidance throughout the session. I may not be the right fit for those seeking "just a few photos", highly posed, elaborate prop requests or fast-paced photography.
